One of my favourite things to do as a child was put on gypsy-esque performances with my siblings and the neighbours' kids too. We'd make tickets, rehearse all day, and finally reel in any grown ups we could find to come and watch us dance, juggle, forget the lines to "The Locomotion" and generally put on a show.

I didn't own an accordion, however. Which is a shame - because as everybody knows, accordions are extremely rad.

These wooden accordions come in red and blue, and are fully functioning. Included is an instruction booklet, which even has a couple of songs inside to get you started. We think they make the perfect gift for music-minded kiddos (and people who want to make friends and influence people).

It can be all too easy to get caught up in the frenzy of the holiday season but this year we would really like to give something back.

This Christmas, Shorties will be donating $500 to a children’s charity. The only thing is, we haven’t decided which one yet. This is where we really need your help.

Do you know of a great cause that is working to make children’s lives better? If so, please head right on over to our facebook page and shout it from the rooftops. Let us know a little bit about the charity and why you have nominated them to receive the money (before Jan 1st). Sue is the very clever lady behind one of our all-time favourite labels, Tootlebug. She's been creating bright, colourful, fun-filled frocks for several years now, and we've always loved the fact that each dress is unique and a little bit crazy (just like the little people who end up wearing them, don't you think?)
