Mould-n-Paint Garden
The Pegasus Toy-Kraft company based in India
offers a wide range of toys such as this fun Mould-n-Paint Garden Kit.
Providing children with a stimulating platform that fosters
personal expression and intellectual growth.
This kit includes:
1 Packet of Plaster of Paris,
6 Moulds,
6 Colours tempera paints,
6 Disc magnets,
1 Paint brush and an
Instruction leaflet.
In a plastic bowl, empty half the bag of Plaster of Paris.
Taking care not to let your children breathe it in.
(There is plenty more Plaster of Paris to make another 6 garden elements.)
Mix in an equal amount of water to create a slurry that has a pourable consistency.
Spoon the Plaster of Paris into each plastic mould.
Gently shake plastic mould tray to get rid of any air bubbles.
Add disc magnets and make sure they are sitting level on top with the plaster of paris.
Do not press disc magnets in otherwise I found they are not strong enough to stick onto the fridge.
The Plaster of Paris mixture will release heat in the hardening process
as the setting is a exothermic reaction.
Once they have set (takes up to 30minutes, for best results wait 24 hours)
- its time to paint them!
First, paint the garden elements in a coat of white paint.
This will allow the other colours be more bold.
Let it dry.
Then it is really up to your children's imagination!
They can go wild with their painted butterflies and flowers displayed around the home.
For Ages 5 and Up.
